When NBA coaches vote on All-Star reserves, they skew in favor of experience and winning. Paolo Banchero is in just his second NBA season, but without him the Magic aren't over .500 at the midway point of the season. Easy way to tell how good a player is: See the coverage schemes. He's No. 1 on the greaseboard every night and he's still efficient. ... Duncan McGuire was so good for Orlando City last season as a rookie -- it led them to sending away Designated Player Ercan Kara -- he was actually too good. ... UCF 's NCAA tournament hopes are fading quickly after that loss to Baylor. They've got to get on a run and finish strong. Twenty wins, minimum. ... Pro Bowl Games are in fully swing. Paolo Banchero is averaging team highs of 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and has led his team to a winning record. The NBA All-Star Game will take place on Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, airing on TNT.

Orlando City loans top scorer Duncan McGuire to English club

McGuire, 22, made 24 starts in 36 appearances for the Lions as a rookie and scored 15 goals. Four of his goals were MLS game-winners. He was the sixth overall pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft following a senior season as Creighton.
