Orlando weather: No surprise here, expect more rain today

Orlando has an 80 percent chance of rain, with rainfall of a half to three-quarters of an inch possible Wednesday. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm should move into the area after 2 p.m. 

Florida, 5 other states sue opioid makers

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is suing five major drug manufacturers, as well as drug distributors in a "comprehensive" lawsuit aimed at punishing them for the spread of opioid addiction.

OPD officers shot driver despite policy against shooting into vehicles. His family wants to know why.

It was at least the 16th time since 2009 that Orlando officers have fired into a moving vehicle, a use of force that the Orlando Police Department prohibited in 2016. Juan Silva's shooting appears to be the first case of an officer shooting into a vehicle since the new policy was written two years ago.

New report shows homeless population declining

The number of homeless people in Central Florida dropped ever so slightly over the past year, but given the region's extreme lack of affordable housing, some consider the latest homeless census report a major victory.
