Fringe Festival / Plant Street Market / Mother's Day

Restaurants
Plant Street Market: A world of flavor Plant Street Market

The Plant Street Market officially opens Saturday in Winter Garden, giving west Orange County a local food hub. With food and lifestyle vendors, the concept is similar to East End Market in Orlando's Audubon Park community.

More than 20 years after her breakout single "Stay (I Missed You)," Loeb's voice still sounds like the archetype for every heartsick hipster on "No Fairy Tale"

Movies
Kristen Wiig is fearless in reality TV-jabbing 'Welcome to Me' Review: 'Welcome to Me'

"Welcome to Me," starring Kristen Wiig, is weirdly off center yet strangely in sync with the times.

Review: 'Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem' Review: 'Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem'

In the week's best new film, a highly compressed, exquisitely acted tale of two people who do not belong together plays out as a courtroom saga that, in story terms, runs longer than many marriages.

Review: 'Hot Pursuit'

Cheap, short and slow, 'Hot Pursuit' is a comedy that never lets your forget that pairing up Sofia Vergara with Reese Witherspoon should have worked better than this.

Review: 'Maggie'

A somber, sad detour through Zombieland

Review: '5 Flights Up'

A middling comic look at real estate woes

Review: 'Ride'

See Helen Hunt surf. Check out how well-preserved Helen Hunt looks in a wetsuit. Remember how good Helen Hunt handles biting, witty banter.

It's time to rediscover Orlando Museum of Art It's time to rediscover Orlando Museum of Art

I went to the Orlando Museum of Art a couple of weeks ago for a special Holocaust Remembrance Day exhibition (excellent, btw!), and while there I saw the Maya Lin and Carlos Vega exhibits and installations (both fantastic). I always walk through the permanent collection galleries; it's like visiting old friends who somehow manage to stay young and interesting.
