Coronavirus disproportionately killing Hispanics in Central Florida

COVID-19 is hospitalizing and killing Central Florida Hispanics at a disproportionate rate. The death toll across Orange, Osceola, Lake and Seminole counties – while still markedly lower than South Florida – is likely a reflection of greater exposure in their jobs, underlying medical problems and a public health education campaign that was slow to reach heavily Hispanic neighborhoods.
