Good morning. It's Wednesday, August 24. A devastating earthquake rocked central Italy early, collapsing homes on top of residents as they slept. At least 37 people were killed.

A patch of windy, rainy weather, which is expected to become better organized as it nears the Bahamas, could reach Florida by Sunday, although other scenarios call for it to pass to the north.
