I'm Stephen Ruiz, online content editor for OrlandoSentinel.com. The college football season had a thrilling finish in Atlanta, but UCF fans in Orlando were celebrating, too. Find out more about that and other stories in some of our top headlines. Send me an email and let me know what you think.

Good morning. It's Tuesday, Jan. 9. Not long after UCF's football team was celebrated with a downtown block party, the Knights finished just outside the top five in the final Associated Press poll of the season. Alabama was No. 1 after topping Georgia 26-23 in overtime in the College Football Playoff national championship game.

Meanwhile, Tuesday will be a day of remembrance in Orlando for fallen law-enforcement officers Debra Clayton and Norman Lewis, who died one year ago as police attempted to apprehend accused killer Markeith Loyd.

And finally, you can find pictures from UCF's block party here.
