Sentinel Sports Final

If anyone dismisses the legacy of Jerry West, suggesting he couldn't play in today's NBA (see Lake Howell's Chandler Parsons who essentially robbed the Memphis Grizzlies without a gun for $94 million), discontinue the conversation immediately. Parsons routinely says disrespectful things about old-timers who made the game that made him a fortune when the truth is he couldn 't have made the rosters for those legendary Lakers or Celtics teams. ... The Celtics are one win away from their 18th NBA championship. That's 1.5 more than the Lakers, who don't get full credit for that "bubble" title in 2020 (won after a five-month layoff because of COVID, no fans, no travel and taking all the elements out of what makes winning a title so difficult after an 82-game season). There, I said it. ... The USMNT's draw with Brazil is something to build on. No way they could enter Copa America with another 5-1 loss on their heads by a South American team. ... With so many new players, Gus Malzahn isn't worried about X's and O's as much as chemistry. UCF has to get familiar with each other quickly. Second season in the Big 12 isn't far away.
