Widening 17-92 & Science of addiction

Good morning. It's Monday, April 25. Thousands of cars and trucks zip by on U.S. Highway 17-92 on most days, but morning and evening rush hours get busy. State transportation officials hope to ease that congestion by  widening a 4-mile stretch of U.S. 17-92 between Winter Springs and Sanford. Despite decades of public-awareness, the nation still has little to show in the battle to overcome addiction. The failure, scientists believe, stems from a misguided mentality that addiction is a moral flaw – and that overcoming it is a matter of willpower.

The Orlando Pride won their home opener on Saturday night, see photos of fans and tailgaters prior to the game. Here's what else is happening in Central Florida. Have a great day.
