Good morning. It's Thursday, December 1. Rain finally fell on Gatlinburg, Tenn., after savage wildfires blazed across eastern Tennessee, killing seven, forcing thousands to evacuate and burning hundreds of homes to the ground.

The Somali-born attacker at Ohio State University might have been inspired by the Islamic State group and a former al-Qaida leader, investigators said.
