Good morning. It's Friday, December 23. The Tunisian man suspected of driving a truck into a crowded Christmas market in Berlin was killed early today in a shootout with police in Milan, ending a Europe-wide manhunt.

Malta state TV said this morning that two hijackers on a diverted Libyan plane had hand grenades and were threatening to blow up the aircraft.
