Orlando Morning Report

Good morning, I'm Richard Tribou, editor for the Audience Team, but also former travel editor for the Sentinel, which means I still write about it from time to time, especially the cruise industry. It's been just over a year since I sailed on a new vessel, the Regent Seven Seas Splendor, when I got to meet ship godmother Christie Brinkley. With COVID, though, the cruise lines keep pushing back their likely return to sailing. One thing consumers want to know, though, is whether or not they will need to have been vaccinated to sail. This week I tried to get that answer. But even though cruising might be on hold, Florida's beaches are not, and this week marked another year that a sandy stretch of the Sunshine State took home top honors in an annual ranking of best beaches in the U.S. In fact, Florida took eight of the Top 25 spots. See which one came in at No. 1. And if you need more ideas on where to enjoy our state, be sure to check out the latest edition of Explore Florida. Now, here's the rest of today's news ...

Today in Orlando, it will be clear with a high of 85° and low of 64°. Get hour-by-hour temperatures here.
