Gators defeat FAMU to open NCAA baseball regionals

A two-run home run by Florida shortstop Josh Rivera during the first inning proved enough offense during a sluggish night at the plate for the Gators against Florida A&M during the NCAA regionals. The Gators face Texas Tech for a spot in the championship round.

Lame duck FHSAA board meets landmark changes pushed by Gov. Ron DeSantis

House Bill 225, signed into law by Florida governor and Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis, tosses out current board members ahead of the 2023-24 school year. They will be replaced by appointees selected by DeSantis, who by all accounts pushed hard for the bill's passage a year after similar proposals targeting the FHSAA enacted.

Expansion, rebranding discussions highlight Big 12 annual meetings

With the Pac-12's future on shaky ground as it negotiates a new media rights deal, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Colorado are rumored to be considering a move to the Big 12. Additionally, there are reports that the league is interested in adding basketball powerhouses Gonzaga and UConn.

No. 4 ranked Rollins baseball (39-17) returns to Cary, N.C., to win the national championship. They will compete against No. 5 Cal State San Bernardino (43-17) this weekend in the Round of Eight. The Tars can sense their unfinished business in the Carolina air.

Pride hit road again but expect better result against Dash
