Sentinel Sports Final

Wednesday, September 13, 2023

How bad a night was it for the Rays? When you lose a key player to a "testicular contusion," that's how bad. Yikes! ... At least that's not John Rhys Plumlee's issue, but Sanford Seminole alum Timmy McClain, who ditched USF after he lost his starting job, has a chance to cement himself as a college QB again. Getting a game vs. Villanova under his belt before jumping in the Big 12 should help, but Plumlee unfortunately appeared to be an injury certainty after all the unnecessary blows he took against Kent State in Week 1. ... What a week for New York football: The Giants get cut down to size by division rival Dallas in a 40-0 loss, Josh Allen and the Bills lose to Zach Wilson and the Jets lose Aaron Rodgers for the season after four plays. I'd still take Rodgers in his current state over Josh McCown and Sam Darnold. The Jets wasted four seasons. ... All the momentum Florida has lost since that upset win vs. Utah last year can be restored by beating Tennessee.
